Counselor's Corner

The mission of the Carver-Edisto Middle School (CEMS) Counseling Department is to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program addressing the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students. All students will acquire the achievement, success, and ethical behaviors necessary to help them to understand and respect self and others. CEMS School Counselors work in partnership with other educators, families, and the community to enable all students to become successful, productive, contributing citizens and lifelong learners in a diverse and changing society.

Our guidance department's goal is to provide a standards-based program that focuses on student development in the three areas of learning to live, learning to learn, and learning to work.  This program will simultaneously focus on the character trait for each month that has been shared by the Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce.  In addition, a comprehensive career program and various guidance services will be provided to enhance student learning, growth and development.
